Commercial Pitch Fibre Drain Repairs in Derby

Many older commercial and industrial sites in Derby still have failing pitch fibre drains from the 1950s–70s. We diagnose and permanently rehabilitate collapsed and blistered pitch fibre pipework – using no-dig lining where possible to avoid disruption.

Specialist No-Dig Solutions to Restore Ageing Drainage Systems

At UK Drainage, we offer a proven, no-dig repair method that reshapes and reinforces failing pitch fibre pipework without the need for excavation. Whether you manage a school, industrial estate, holiday park or a residential property, our trenchless solution avoids surface disruption while delivering permanent structural reinforcement.

Using specialist equipment, we re-round the pipe to restore its original shape, then apply a structural liner to seal and strengthen it from the inside. The result is a fully restored, watertight drainage system that meets modern performance standards, all with minimal downtime, mess or reinstatement cost.

How We Repair Pitch Fibre Drains

We use a two-stage, no-dig process to permanently restore pitch fibre pipework:

  1. Re-Rounding
A re-rounding cone is gently winched through the damaged pipe to reshape any distorted, blistered or partially collapsed sections. This restores the pipe’s full diameter and internal flow.
  2. Structural Lining (CIPP)
After cleaning and CCTV inspection, a resin-soaked liner is inserted into the pipe and inflated. Once cured, it creates a seamless, watertight sleeve inside the existing pipe, preventing future deformation, ingress, or collapse.

This method is ideal for locations where excavation would be disruptive, expensive, or simply not feasible, including schools, gardens, driveways, and busy commercial environments.
